Contra Costa Boulevard Improvements
The CCB Improvement Project is funded by a number of Federal and County transportation grants, including $1,183,000 in Federal Highway Safety grant and $1,249,000 in countywide Measure J. The remaining project cost is funded with local funds. The total project construction is estimated to cost $4,473,917.
The CCB Improvement Project consists of three phases of work that will be constructed separately. The first work phase consists of the construction of all concrete and electrical improvements, and all subsurface landscape components (e.g. irrigation, piping, and dirt placement). The second work phase consists of pavement resurfacing/repair work, colored crosswalk treatment, and final pavement striping. The third work phase consists of the installation of above ground streetscape improvements (e.g. final planting, mulch placement, and street furniture). The CCB Improvement Project is estimated to be completed in the fall of 2014. The general contractor for the project construction is Ghilotti Brothers Inc.
